The most renowned experts in the SD-WAN field will present the latest information at the SD-WAN Summit to be held in Novotel Paris Roissy CDG, September 20-22, 2016.  This conference is a natural outgrowth of the MPLS+SDN+NFV World conference held in March.

Software-defined wide-area networks support branch office connectivity in a simplified and cost-effective manner. SD-WAN provides new features that better handle changing network traffic patterns resulting from cloud computing. The aim is to resolve some of the most pressing WAN problems clients currently face when building and managing hybrid WANs.

There is no standard in the works and the SD-WAN ecosystem currently gathers vendor non interoperable private solutions. Therefore, the challenge is to provide a set of tactical and strategic requirements that may help guide enterprises in their selection of Software Defined – Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) vendor solutions. The SD-WAN Summit will address other challenges include carrier class solutions deployments, security and hybrid networks solutions.

Steve Garson, president of SD-WAN Experts will be presenting a tutorial that discusses how to evaluate SD-WAN solution providers.  Steve’s job is to analyze big WANs, figure out what sort of applications go across them, and then recommend a WAN solution to meet an organization’s needs.   His tutorial at the SD-WAN Summit will discuss how to evaluate SD-WAN technology providers to understand differences in:

  • Architecture
  • Scalability
  • Practical questions
  • Financial questions

Steve addresses how to sift through all the marketing hype and really know what your options are, how they work and will the provider be here for  you in the future.
