SIP Trunking

SIP trunking allows you incredible flexibility in handling your telephone traffic at a lower cost than traditional PRI circuits.  There is a common misconception that SIP trunking does not offer the same quality as a PRI, but that does not need to be the case.

Essentially, SIP trunking enables you to eliminate expensive lower-speed voice and data lines and pool them all into one larger trunk, which you can then divvy up for use by any application. The cost savings can be significant, as much as a 20% to 60% reduction as compared to traditional analog voice networks and packet switched data networks. What’s more, SIP will work with much of the voice and data networking equipment you’ve already got in place.

Key benefits of SIP trunks are:

  • Lower cost than PRI circuits and analog lines
  • Small offices can afford DID numbers.
  • Ability to utilize phone numbers from other cities and states
  • Business continuity with automatic redirection of calls

SIP trunks can be delivered over an MPLS circuit or the internet.  To understand your options and evaluate the best solution for your company, contact the SASE Experts.
